Darrin has been practicing law for over 25 years. His practice includes business law, employment law, reputation defense, equine law, property law, and general litigation. He represents a variety of businesses as outside counsel, having served as general counsel to private companies.
Darrin works with clients to find alternatives to litigation, including mediation and settlement. When a resolution cannot be achieved, he has secured substantial verdicts and settlements during litigation in business, personal injury/medical malpractice, and reputation defense cases.
Darrin has defended clients in business and personal matters securing great results including dismissal and verdicts for the defense. He has worked with co-counsel from the solo practice attorneys to large firms on matters that require a legal team and range of expertise.
Darrin works with the client to find the most beneficial, cost-effective representation, including joint representation or, when appropriate, referral to a specialist. He understands the significant investment required to secure competent legal representation, and his goal is first to ensure every client receives value for that investment.
Darrin has been a member of the Minnesota State and American Bar Associations and admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court, the Federal District Court for the District of Minnesota and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He received his B.S. in Applied Economics in Agriculture and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. He received his law degree in 1996 from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review.
